Job Summary

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions in support of the firm's business objectives. Your deep knowledge of design, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Help drive the modernization of applications using Domain Driven Design and Micro Services architecture
  • Own end-to-end availability and performance of critical services and build automation to reduce operational overhead
  • Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
  • Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
  • Gathers, analyses, synthesises, and develops visualisations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
  • Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Demonstrated experience in multiple modern programming languages - C#, .Net Core, ReactJS
  • Well versed with Kafka and cloud native technologies - Kubernetes/AWS
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes using Cloud technologies

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
  • Knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organisational goals
